We are located next to a private residence (a white single storey building) not part of Craiglinnhe House.  Please  check in at the large, grey granite building where we will be waiting to welcome you.

From the South – Tyndrum A82 via Glencoe:

  • Drive past Ballachulish village
  • At the next small roundabout take the second exit (turn right) marked Oban A828
  • Follow the road under the bridge
  • Continue past Ballachulish Hotel and Woodlands golf course
  • In about one mile, at an S bend, you will see the side of a large, grey, granite building, that’s Craiglinnhe House
  • Slow down as it is a sharp left turn onto our drive – look for the orange framed mirror directly opposite

From the South – A828 via Loch Awe / Oban:

  • Follow the road until Kentallen and the Holly Tree Hotel
  • Continue for 1.5 miles
  • Craiglinnhe House is visible from the road on the right, slow down as it is a sharp turn onto our drive – look for the orange framed mirror opposite.

From the North:

  • From Fort William, head south along the A82
  • After approximately 13 miles drive through Onich and across the Ballachulish Bridge
  • At the next small roundabout , turn left (first exit) signposted Oban A828
  • Follow the road under the bridge
  • Continue past the Ballachulish Hotel and Woodlands golf course
  • In about one mile, at an S bend, you will see the side of a large, grey, granite building, that’s Craiglinnhe House

By Air

Both Glasgow and Prestwick Airports are two to three hours’ drive dependant on weather, traffic and tearoom stops!

By Train

There is a regular train service from Glasgow Central to Fort William. See the Scotrail website.

By Bus

Buses run from Glasgow and stop at the Ballachulish Bridge. See the Citylink bus timetables.  The 914, 915 and 916 buses service the Glasgow to Ballachulish route.

We can provide details of local taxi services, but please be aware that these should be booked well in advance.

Turn left

When leaving the property we ask that you turn left (even if needing to turn right) using the roadside mirrors opposite to check for traffic.  There is a forestry track 200 yards further down the road to the left which allows vehicles to turn around safely.
